Five and twenty years ago, the wall separating East and West Germany was demolished and augured the birth of unified Germany. This was really a momentous time and it is nice to know it happened in our life time.
Unification of Germany also helped the formation of the European Union although there are still a lot of people with negative ideas against this union.
It will be nice that such walls are not erected any more and that new walls are discouraged. But alas, We are not destined to have such happy moments considering recent world wide events.
