Blind can see better with Microsoft Headband

Cane + helper dog are good and an extra headband makes it all the more comfortable for the blind. Microsoft has come up with a headband that the blind can use to get to know their sorroundings better. Of course you need a few extra pieces to beam that information to your headband. The devices that beams the info are scattered around (someone has to install them) various public places and the headband would retrieve and provide the information to the blind by some audio devices in the headband. In UK these good people have installed them for testing:

First Great Western
First Group
Tesco
Barclays
Costa Coffee

I am sure various other coffee, soothie, burgers, and softdrink vendors will soon setup these useful devices to shore up their bottom line.

Microsoft started on this project way back in 2012 with the government and the project was called 'Cities Unlocked'.
