End of speculations-Microsoft Band is released

Microsoft watch or Microsoft wearable?
For the time being it seems to be settled. It is a wearable.

Microsoft seems to have done good this time around releasing a cross-platform, health related wrist band -the Microsoft Band.

Microsoft Band released today with longer battery life; better integration with other operating systems; betting on the 'Mobile-first, Cloud-first' theme; and with more sensors than other similar devices at a price very reasonable is sure to intensify competition in this wearable, health targeted market.

It only supports Cortana on the Windows Phone but I am sure the CortanaOS and CortanaAndroid sibblings will soon join the family.

Microsoft has really gone beyond just gathering the statistics of your active life but has included the heart rate monitor overcoming some of the expressed views here:

What's more, through its partners it provides the right education going beyond activity and heart montoring.
