W57 is a very cool project

It is something new and something cool in architecture. I am sure it adds to the stature of New York City. I would love to see it someday. I am not sure if it is completed and having an 'Open house' yet.
Here are some pictures, links and a cool video.

Windows 8.1 on the computer stopped scrolling while using IE 11.0

This could happen and I do not know the reason. This is what happened and this is what I did.

The vertical and horizontal scrolling did not work. Moreover, pop-up message boxes could not be closed. IE practically froze except that you could open new windows without a problem. Only way was to call up the Task Manager.

It did not matter whether I used the mouse wheel on my Microsoft Mouse or did it manually with the mouse. Being an 8.1 OS, the touch sensitivity did not present any problem and I could scroll the screen that way.

Closing all brewers and reopening did not help. Stopping and starting the computer did not work. Internet Tools was of no help.

Finally applied some of the Windows Updates and that fixed the problem.

Are you still using Google Search?

Why in the hell? Bing is so much more beautiful and matches search item-per-item search item, Goolge's search.

Just look at this interactive Bing page. You can just drag the picture with your mouse and get a great view of not only the item in focus but also the neighborhood. Virtual reality, my friends! Here are three view of a Delhi temple. These screen shots are for today at:

Look at this Google search page, drab and life-less.

How do you display your Phone Screen on your Smart TV?

This capability is cool as it enables you to project a larger image of your screen (i.e., whatever it is presently displaying) on to a larger screen.

The procedure in this post needs a Windows Phone and a Smart TV. In particular a Windows Phone 8.1 operating system on a Nokia Icon. Many other Nokia/Microsoft phones have the feature called 'Miracast' to project your phone display on to a Smart TV. You need no physical connection because it is over your Wi-Fi connection. The Smart TV used here is a Samsung Smart TV.

First you need to change the source of information coming to your TV. When you are watching TV, the TV channels come into your monitor. You need to change the source to Screen Mirroring on the Samsung Smart TV as shown:

ScreenMirroring1
It is the same with other Smart TVs as well. Click on Settings on your start page on your Windows Phone 8.1 to display the following. You may need to scroll down to see the item 'Project my Screen'.

ScreenMirroring2

Click on that and the following screen will be displayed.

To start with it may show that it is not collected, but if your Wi-Fi on the phone is working it will eventually find your TV as shown above.

When you tap on Samsung LED46 you get connected and the screens you display on your phone get displayed on your Smart TV.

However, Samsung Smart TV has a problem. The image you see gets displayed inverted on your Smart TV.

I have scratched out the last sentence from the original as I found that you can fix the orientation with Advanced Settings:

Fashion and 3D Printing

There is a great future for 3D printing in the fashion industry not counting the proliferation of wearables, especially watches such as the Apple Watch the latest to enter this arena.

3D printing goes beyond just the wearables but to make the women in every way desirable with products that could be customized to enhance the beauty. probably sizes XXL, XL,L, M and S will gave way to customizable products and decorations that go on clothes can have completely new look and functionality.

Nanyang Additive Manufacturing Center in Singapore had organized the 2103 Singapore International Fashion 3D Printing competition that showcased many designs. Here is a video produced by the university.

Here is a digitally 3D printed costume jewelry from here:

Beauty goes 3D

"If a man aspires towards a righteous life, his first act of abstinence is from injury to animals" -- Albert Einstein.

The thing women are most concerned is beyond doubt skin. The number of products promising youthful, wrinkle-less screen is proliferating. Skin concerns even beat health concerns and anything that go towards improving skin is of utmost interest to vendors as well as customers.
It is no wonder L'Oreal has made its move to club with a 3D Bio-printing company Organovo. L'Oreal has entered a research collaboration with Organovo in the development of printable skin tissues using the NovoGen bio-printing platform of Organovo.
This is great not-only for L'Oreal but also to do away with animal testing, an item heavy in the development of cosmetic products. This is what L'Oreal is saying about its pro-animal motivations,
"no longer tests on animals any of its products or any of its ingredients, anywhere in the world. Nor does L’OrĂ©al delegate this task to others.”
The company does, however, state that “[a]n exception could only be made if regulatory authorities demanded it for safety or regulatory purposes.”
In all probability this will go forward as Organovo already has demonstrated its ability to print human liver tissues that can be used for pharmaceutical product testing.

This is a must read article if you are pro-animal:

P.s: I own a very small number Organovo stocks
