Portable Brain Monitoring with Lucid Ultrasound System

Lucid Ultrasound System 1.1 from Neural Analytics (below picture from Businesswire.com/news site) uses a type of Ultra Sound technology called Trans Cranial Doppler to assess the blood flowing in the brain from outside the body, a non-invasive technology.

Doppler measurements are widely and routinely used in cardiology to measure cardiac output. Doppler measurement has high reliability and reproducibility besides being non-invasive and inexpensive.

The software to interpret Doppler measurements is what makes the device useful in many other areas including the brain monitoring.

According to Neural Analytics, "“This (Lucid Ultrasound System 1.1) launch has the potential to optimize patient care by enabling clinicians to quickly access critical brain health information with the option to save and archive data from our platform across the entire hospital network.”
