Vaccination of epic proportion starts in India on January 16

The first ones to get the vaccine are the front-line workers estimated at 30 million. The second group to follow are people above the age of 50 and those below the age of 50 with co-morbidity. The second group is estimated at 270 million. I am sure the AADHAR project will be of immense use.

----------

Covaxin offers a vaccine candidate that is different from other options currently available in the U.S. market with potentially broader coverage against multiple protein antigens of the virus,” said Harvey Rubin of the University of Pennsylvania and a member of Ocugen’s Vaccine Scientific Advisory Board."

Allergy that you need to report before you get the Pfizer vaccine

As I have had severe food-related allergic reactions twice several years apart) which was diagnosed as 'anaphylaxis', this warning is very timely, although I am certain to be asked about my allergies. The reaction is nasty as it creates an obstruction to breathing and swallowing. You feel as if you have swallowed a box of stabler pins.

Severe reaction to Pfizer's vaccine was first reported in the UK.

So far, 2 cases in Britain and one in Alaska, USA have been reported. In all these cases there was a severe anaphylaxis reaction that needed hospitalization.

The following site may be accessed to report any such reaction:

https://coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk/

The British regulatory agency has issued the following:

"....

Any person with a history of anaphylaxis to a vaccine, medicine, or food should not receive the Pfizer/ BioNTech vaccine. A second dose should not be given to anyone who has experienced anaphylaxis following the administration of the first dose of this vaccine.

“Anaphylaxis is a known, although very rare, side effect with any vaccine. Most people will not get anaphylaxis and the benefits in protecting people against COVID-19 outweigh the risks...."

The above is copied from the following:

"https://www.gov.uk/government/news/confirmation-of-guidance-to-vaccination-centres-on-managing-allergic-reactions-following-covid-19-vaccination-with-the-pfizer-biontech-vaccine"

A healthcare worker was hospitalized after experiencing a serious allergic reaction to the Pfizer vaccine in Alaska. The person is still in the hospital. It appears her allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) is believed to be similar to that suffered by the two in Britain. The patients in Britain carried with them EpiPen-like devices to counteract the allergic reaction.

In the USA, federal regulators authorized the following warning,

"Health care providers were warned not to give the vaccine to anyone with a “known history of a severe allergic reaction” to any component of the vaccine, which they said was a standard warning for vaccines".

Did you get your corona virus related stimulus check?

You might have already gotten yours. If not, when you try to access 'Get My Payment' page you may see this.

And following the links you may get to this page.

It looks like you can claim this in your 2020 Tax return. However, since the process is slow you may still get a check by December 31, 2020.

Good luck!
